Australia’s continuing violations of various human rights and environmental conventions can be linked to the reservations that our governments have put in place that permit them to avoid international scrutiny of our domestic situation.
As a Senator I will call upon our parliament to review all International Conventions that have been incompletely incorporated into our domestic laws.
It is our intention to call upon our parliament to incorporate into Australian domestic law ILO (International Labour Organisation) convention 107 and 169 that focus on Aboriginal Rights and Freedoms.
